CCUPA tops Customs hoop
THE CEBU Customs United Personeros Association (CCUPA) of Yoly Cena pulled off a 83-70 drubbing over the Cebu Basketball Men Association (CEBAMA) of playing coach Rikki Rosalejos to win the 2011-1st Cebu Customs United Personeros Association (CCUPA)- Cebu Customs Brokerage Inc. (CCBI) summer basketball tournament title last Saturday at the Benjamin Solon Sports Complex in barangay Cogon Ramos, Cebu City.
Taks Moral and Francis Palero led CCUPA with 20 and 14 points, respectively. Elran Gelbolengo and Rayden Villaronza added 11 points apiece.
Niño Iso and Michael Hendrive paced CEBAMA with 14 points each while Randy Francia added 13.
CCUPA founder Yoly Cena awarded the cash prizes, trophies and medals to the top performing teams and individuals right after the championship game.
The champions received P5,000, while the second and third placers got P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
