Pagasa: LPA to bring rain over Mindanao, Visayas
MANILA, Philippines — Mindanao and Visayas will experience scattered rain and thunderstorms due to the trough of a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the state weather bureau reported on Saturday.
Eastern Visayas, Caraga and the Davao Region may expect possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered moderate to heavy rain, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
Pagasa said the LPA is spotted 1,170 kilometers east of Mindanao.
Meanwhile, northeast monsoon or “Amihan” is still affecting the rest of Luzon and Visayas.
Metro Manila will have partly cloudy skies with light rain while the Cagayan Valley Region, Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region will experience cloudy skies with light rain. /muf
