Nearly half, or 48 percent, of Filipinos are optimistic that President Rodrigo Duterte would fulfill most of his campaign promises, according to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from Dec. 16 to 19 last year.
In the survey of 1,440 adults, those who believe he would fulfill his promises rose 2 points from 46 percent in March.
Most of the optimism came from the Visayas where 46 percent believed he would fulfill his promises, up from 38 percent.
But expectations in Mindanao fell from 60 percent to 50 percent. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 points. —INQUIRER RESEARCH
