DOTr suspends 12 emission testing centers for falsifying results

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has ordered the suspension of 10 Private Emission Testing Centers (PETCs) for falsification of emission test results.
In an advisory on Friday, the DOTr, through its Investigation Security and Law Enforcement Staff (ISLES), issued the preliminary suspension order of the following PETCs on Jan. 17:
1.) Wealth Emission Test Center – 6 Araneta Ave., Brgy. Potrero, 1475, Malabon City
2.) Sakfra Emission Testing Center – Anulid, Alcala, 2425, Pangasinan
3.) Link Line Emission Testing Center – 4th East Tubod Rosario Heights, Iligan City, 9200, Lanao Del Norte
4.) Century Emission Testing Center – St. Stephen, Ugac Sur, Tuguegarao City, 3500, Cagayan Valley
5. Gapan Motor Vehicle Emission Testing Center & Car Care Center Co. – Km. 94, National Highway, Bayanihan, Gapan City, 3105, Nueva Ecija
6.) VGL Industries, Inc. – Bulua, Cagayan De Oro City
7.) EE Casco Emission – Gajo, Tiwi, 4513, Albay
8.) Joca Emission Test Center – Everlasting St. (Formerly R. Delos Cietos St.) Poblacion Uno, Bansalan, 8005, Davao Del Sur
9.) CCM Emission Testing Center – Jose Riel., (National Highway) Brgy. Ponong, Carigara, 6529, Leyte
10.) Big M Smoke Emission Testing Center – Kauswagan, National Highway, 9000, Cagayan De Oro City

The DOTr said the suspension order is effective for 90 days.
Copies of the suspension order were also served to the PETC IT Service Provider, which will also be subject to the same penalties if it disregards the suspension order by continuing to process any data transmitted by such PETCs. /jpv
