MPD issues traffic rerouting scheme for Lakbayaw, Sto. Niño festivals
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Police District (MPD) Traffic Enforcement Unit issued on Friday an advisory for a traffic rerouting scheme in anticipation of two major festivals–Lakbayaw Festival and Sto. Niño de Tondo Festival.
Here is the following route for Lakbayaw Festival on Jan. 19 (Saturday):

- Starting from Sto. Niño Church to Yiaya Street
- Turn right to CM Recto Avenue
- Right to Asuncion Street
- Left to Lakandula Street
- Right to Wagas Street
- Right to Moriones Street
- Left to Juan Luna Street then U-turn at Pritil
- Right to Herbosa Street
- Right to Velaquez Street
- Left to Ugbo Street
- Left to F. Varona Street
- Left to Perla Street
- Right to Franco Street
- Cross Moriones Street to J. Nolasco Street
- Going back to Sto. Niño Church
Meanwhile, Sto. Niño Grand Procession will be observing this route on Jan. 20 (Sunday):
- Starting at Sto. Niño Church to Lakandula Street
- Right to Asuncion Street
- Right to Morga Street
- Left to Juan Luna Street
- U-turn to Pritil, N. Zamora Street
- Right to Pacheco Street
- Right to Sta. Maria Street (Yangco)
- Left to Herbosa Street
- Left to Velasquez Street
- Left to Perla Street
- Right to Sta. Maria Street, cross to J. Nolasco
- Left to L. Chacon Street to Church
The MPD also advised the re-routing of vehicles during the festivals:
- Motorists coming from Caloocan may turn left to Tayuman Street then turn right to Dagupan Street to point of destination
- Motorists coming from Tayuman Street can go straight to Capulong Road to make a U-turn at Raxabago Street to point origin
- Motorists using Moriones Street can go straight R-10 to point of destination
- Motorists using Lakandula, Asuncion, Sto. Cristo Streets going to Divisoria area via Zaragosa Street can turn right to Delpan Street to point of destination
- Motorists coming from Infanta Street using Velasquez-Infanta Bridge going to (C-2) Capulong Road can go straight to Honorio Lopez Boulevard to point of destination
- Motorists coming from Vitas Street may turn right to Jacinto Street to point of destination
