A total of 516 personnel of PDEA, including 17 regional directors, went through the drug test, the agency’s spokesperson Derrick Carreon told reporters in the sidelines of the examination.

“Let’s see kung anong magiging resulta ng drug test ngayon. Titingnan natin kung may magpa-positive [to drug use],” PDEA chief Director General Aaron Aquino said at the start of the drug test.
(Let’s see what the results will be from the drug test today. We will see if someone will test positive for drug use.)
According to Aquino, the drug testing among PDEA personnel is being conducted regularly as the agency also spearheads the government’s war against illegal drugs.
Aquino said regional directors may also hold a surprise drug test in their respective offices if they suspect an agent is involved in drug use. /jpv
