MANILA, Philippines — Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos did the iconic “dab” pose with Davao Mayor Sara Duterte in her new campaign advertisement.
In a video posted on Marcos’ official Facebook page, the two politicians were seen riding a bike to a gas station.
Duterte started the campaign’s opening lines with: “‘Pag may solusyon, ‘wag puro satsat (If there is a solution, there should be less talk.)”
Marcos, who is seeking a senate seat, then said: “Dapat aksyon at solusyon agad (Prioritize action and solutions).”
Marcos also said politics must be set aside and service to the people must be top priority.
“Isantabi ang pulitika at bangayan, taong bayan dapat ang una (Set aside politics and bickering. People’s welfare first),” she said.
The 30-second advertisement ended with Marcos and Duterte doing the dab pose with a group of jeepney drivers. /ee
