LUCENA CITY—Police killed a suspected drug pusher after he resisted arrest and allegedly fought back during a buy-bust operation here Wednesday, police said.
Supt. Reydante Ariza, Lucena police chief, said in a report that Christopher Sarco, 38, was killed after he allegedly resisted arrest and shot but failed to hit the arresting police officer after a drug transaction in Barangay (village) Ibabang Iyam around 8:40 p.m.
The suspect reportedly pulled a caliber .38 revolver from his back and fired at the police officer who was about to arrest him but missed his target.
