Former Dagupan City mayor Benjamin Lim dies

DAGUPAN CITY – Former City Mayor Benjamin Lim passed away in a Makati Hospital at 1:09 a.m. on Wednesday due to a lingering illness. He was 66.

Lim suffered a stroke the day before the May 2013 elections when he was running for re-election.


He served as congressman of Pangasinan’s fourth legislative district from 1998-2001.

He was the city mayor from 2001-2007 and from 2010-2013.

He was called the Father of Bangus Festival as he started the annual celebration in 2001. YOLANDA SOTELO-FUERTES/lzb
