Jan. 18 declared special non-working holiday in Tarlac City, Sta. Rosa City

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared January 18, 2019, a special non-working holiday in Tarlac City and Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

By President Duterte’s authority, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed on Monday Proclamation No. 649 and 650 declaring Friday, Jan. 18 a special non-working holiday in Santa Rosa City and Tarlac City, respectively.

Copies of the Proclamations were sent to the media on Tuesday.

Proclamation 649 was signed to give the people of Santa Rosa City the opportunity to celebrate and participate in the city’s 22th founding anniversary.

“It’s but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Santa Rosa be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” the proclamation read.

Meanwhile, Proclamation 650 was signed to mark the celebration of Tarlac City’s 3rd Kaisa Festival. /je
