Paper recycling firm plants trees, recognizes supporters

IN keeping with its tradition, Paper Savers, a paper recycling company, once again carried out a tree-planting activity dubbed as “mulTREEply” last Oct. 15.

This tree planting activity initiated by Paper Savers in 2009 gives recognition to companies supporting their paper recycling efforts.

This year, Paper Savers partnered with the Haribon Foundation.

For every 3,000 kgs. of paper disposed by the participating companies from Sept. 13, 2010 to Sept. 20, 2011, a donation of one seedling was made in the company’s name to the foundation.

Seventy-four companies contributed a total of 207 seedlings planted  in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

This year’s participants include Banco de Oro, Basic Graphics, Cebu Business Continuous Form, Cebu Daily News, Cebu Tsu Chi Foundation, City Savings Bank, Clint Kamms Corp., Coca-Cola Bottlers, Copytrade, C & L Printers, Cebu DG Print, Dev’t. Bank of the Phils., Department of Health Region 7, DI Clone Copier, ePerformax, The Freeman, GNM Printing House, Golden ABC, Grafix Express, GrafixPro Printing and Packaging Corp., Insular Life, Katipunan Press, Manila Bulletin, Cebu Marriott Hotel, Movenpick Resort, Moriah Press, New Continental Printers, Paradigm Diversified Resources, Phil. Spring Water Resources, Phil. National Bank, Prime Asia Pawnshop, Pag-Ibig Fund Cebu, PCN Promopro, RD Pawnshop, New Papermann Printers, Rizal Commercial Banking Corp., SHS-Ateneo de Cebu, SHS-Hijas de Jesus, San Miguel Corp., Summa Sales, SM Multi Store Corp., Social Security System Jones, SYS Printing Press, Tanchan, United Coconut Planters Bank, University of Cebu, Velez College of Nursing, White Gold Club, TTSP-WCIP-SEZ, Tsuneshi Heavy Industry, Cebu Graceland Printers, Tita Gwapa and Pilipinas Makro.

New companies have joined the roster of TreeSavers, namely: CGS Printing Press, Magenta Graphic Consultants, Red Ribbon Bakeshop, Rhine Marketing, People’s Coop. Worthy Food Corp (Jollibee Colon), Menzi & Co., Cebu Printing & Packaging Corp. and East West Bank.
