MANILA, Philippines — North Cotabato was hit by a magnitude 3.0 earthquake on Friday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its initial earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake was spotted 11 kilometers (km) north of Kidapawan, North Cotabato at 5:24 p.m.
The earthquake of tectonic origin had a depth of one km.
Meanwhile, Intensity III was also felt in Kidapawan City.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks and damage could be expected from the earthquake. /ee
