Phivolcs: 3.6-magnitude quake hits Laguna

Phivolcs: 3.2-magnitude quake hits Laguna

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck Laguna on Friday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

In its updated earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake hit 9 kilometers (km) north of Los Baños, Laguna at 5:15 p.m.

Phivolcs also reported that Intensities I to II was also felt in the following areas:

Intensity III- Los Baños, Laguna, Calamba City, Lipa City
Intensity II – Tanauan City

Instrumental Intensity:
Intensity I- Tagaytay City

The earthquake of tectonic origin had a depth of 21 km.

Phivolcs is not expecting aftershocks or damage as a result of  the earthquake. /ee
