SAN PEDRO CITY—A suspected illegal drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in General Mariano Alvarez town in Cavite province Thursday evening, police said Friday.
A report from the Calabarzon police said the suspect Manuel Pascual allegedly drew out and fired his gun that triggered the shootout during a buy-bust operation around 10:30 p.m. in Barangay (village) Ramon Cruz.
Pascual was killed while his companion, Josephine Pascual, was arrested during the transaction.
It was not immediately clear how the two were related to each other.
