LOOK: Otso Diretso candidates meet Jaro Archbishop
JARO, ILOILO CITY, Philippines —Otso Diretso opposition senatorial bets paid a courtesy visit to Archbishop Jose Romeo Lazo of the Archdiocese of Jaro on Friday morning.
Among the opposition bets present during the visit were Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano, former Deputy Speaker Erin Tañada, human rights lawyer Chel Diokno, civic leader Samira Gutoc, and election lawyer Romulo Macalintal.

Earlier, the candidates were interviewed by local radio stations in Iloilo City. This is the second day of the Otso Diretso slate in Panay island, after talking with barangay officials and students of Roxas City and farmers from Barotac Viejo in Iloilo on Thursday.

After their Jaro Cathedral visit, the opposition slate will hold a press conference in Iloilo City and a dialogue with students from the West Visayas State University. They are also scheduled to talk with people inside the Iloilo Terminal Market. /muf
