CABANATUAN CITY-–Still gripping his gun, a suspected drug pusher slumped dead from gunshot wounds at 1:30 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 10) following a clash with the police in Barangay (village) Barrera here.

Delmer Isonga, a Barrera resident, was the subject of a police sting operation when he sensed he was dealing with undercover policemen and opened fire, said Supt. Ponciano Zafra, city police chief. A back-up police officer fired back, killing Isonga.

Zafra said an accomplice was able to flee in a motorcycle.
