MANILA, Philippines — Devotees of the Black Nazarene struggled on Wednesday to climb onto the carriage to kiss or at least touch the image.
Devotees believe that touching the image of the Nazarene with their hands or with a towel could fulfill their most intimate prayers.
In this video, men and women were seen struggling to make their way to the top of the carriage as the procession made its way along Vergara Street.
The Andas or the carriage of the Black Nazarene entered Vergara Street around 5 p.m. or 12 hours after it began its procession from the Quirino Grandstand. /ee/ac
