MPD: Crowd in ‘Traslacion spearhead’ at Bonifacio Shrine at 190,000

MANILA, Philippines — Police counted close to 200,000 devotees early Wednesday morning when the “Traslacion Spearhead” reached the Bonifacio Shrine in Manila, the Manila Police District (MPD) said.

In its 7:30 a.m. report, the MPD said the crowd estimate in front of the Bonifacio Shrine was more or less 190,000.

Meanwhile, about 10,000 devotees wait at the Quiapo Church for the arrival of the image of the Black Nazarene.

Traslacion 2019 started at 5:08 a.m. when the image left the Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church. /cbb
