MANILA, Philippines — Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Tagle met with Philippine National Police (PNP) officials and Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada before he officiated the Traslacion 2019 midnight Mass at the Quirino Grandstand on Wednesday.
PNP Director General Oscar Albayalde and National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Guillermo Eleazar were seen talking to Tagle as shown by photos released by the Manila Police District (MPD).
Tagle was also seen shaking hands with MPD Senior Superintendent Vicente Danao Jr.
Meanwhile, Estrada and son, former Senator Jinggoy Estrada, also met Tagle during a dinner before the Mass.
Over 5 million devotees are expected to join the Traslacion from the Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church which commenced at 5:08 a.m., Wednesday. /cbb
