3 minors killed in motorcycle crash in Digos

DIGOS CITY, Philippines – Three minors were killed when their motorcycle crashed into a farm tractor at the intersection of Digos Diversion and San Jose Dawis Road at about 11:45 p.m., Monday.

Digos police director Supt. Deozar Almasa said a Honda motorcycle without a license plate hit the right side of the farm tractor coming from the overland transport terminal.

The driver Ken Mark Cabusao, 15, suffered injuries and was rushed to Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital (DSPH).

His companions Justine Gallarde, 16, and Ronnie Balasbas died on the spot, while an unidentified woman backrider was declared dead on arrival at the DSPH.

Almasa said the still unidentified driver of the tractor immediately fled but witnesses took note of the vehicle’s plate number.

Witnesses said the motorcycle was speeding when the crash happened but added that the tractor did not have any headlights while passing the national highway. /cbb
