MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck Zamboanga del Norte on Tuesday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its initial earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake was traced 33 kilometers (km) north of Manukan, Davao Oriental at 8:26 p.m.
The earthquake of tectonic origin had a depth of 11 km.
According to Phivolcs, no aftershocks and damage could be expected from the earthquake.
