MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) is ready to accommodate barefooted devotees who will participate in the procession of the image of the Black Nazarene.

“LRT-2 will accommodate barefooted devotees to ride the train in deference to the customary celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene on Wednesday, January 9, 2019,” the management said in an advisory on Tuesday.

It is customary for devotees to join the Trasnlacion on barefoot and wearing no sharp objects in the body like belt buckles for the safety of other participants.

The management, however, said that the LRT security will be implementing a strict “No Inspection, No Entry” policy in all of its stations during its operating hours.

The LRT-2 will maintain its normal operating hours during the Traslacion 2019, the management added.

Trips from Santolan and Recto stations will start at 4:30 a.m.

The last trip from Santolan station is scheduled at 10 p.m. while the final trip from Recto is at 10:30 p.m.

For the LRT Line 1, the management also announced that the line would be having the same normal operations on Wednesday. /jpv
