Enforcers seize P3-M worth of ‘shabu’ in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY — A woman and her male companion were nabbed on Monday afternoon just few meters away from the Zamboanga City Hall in a buy-bust illegal drug operation that yield 500 grams of suspected crystal meth, or “shabu,” worth about P3 million.

Senior Insp. Shellamae Chang, spokesperson of the Zamboanga City Police Office, identified the suspects as Majamang Ahadani Umbanh and her male companion Jung-jung Barli, both natives of Bongao, Tawi-tawi.

The operation was conducted at around 2 p.m. by city police officers and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) .

The suspects are facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 or Republic Act 9165.
