Food park gas leak blast leaves 3 injured

Three workers of a food park at Roxas Boulevard and Antipolo Street in Pasay City suffered burns after a gas leak caused an explosion on Sunday night.

Arson investigators said Jerry Orpila, 33; Jay Venus de los Santos, 50; and Analiza Sevilla, 37, were treated for second degree burns at San Juan de Dios Hospital.

They were later reported to be in stable condition.

In a report, FO1 Keenan Dublado of the city’s Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the victims were preparing meals in the House of Wagyu stall at Food Treat Tayo food park when the explosion happened at 8:50 p.m.

The blast, caused by a leak from a liquefied petroleum gas tank, also damaged two other food stalls.
