MANILA, Philippines — A footbridge along Cabrera-EDSA will be closed to pedestrians, the Pasay City Government announced on Thursday.

In an advisory, the government said the footbridge’s closure was due to possible danger “posed by debris falling from the bridge.”

It also said that it is closely coordinating with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, the government advised motorists to expect heavy traffic as two lanes of EDSA-R. Rodriguez Street Northbound en route to Makati City are affected by a “leaking water pipe.”

The government also cautioned the public on the reported scaffoldings along Taft Avenue which may cause heavy traffic as some Light Rail Transit posts are being repaired. /je
