Cloudy, light rain over Metro Manila, Visayas

MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or “amihan” will be felt mostly over Luzon and the Visayas on Wednesday, the weather bureau said.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain would be experienced over the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administration Region, and Aurora, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The weather bureau warned the residents of these areas of possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rain.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, the Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain brought by the northeast monsoon.

Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possible isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Pagasa warned of possible flash floods during severe thunderstorms.

Strong winds and rough seas may be experienced over Luzon and the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao.

The rest of the country will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.

Pagasa said it had not monitored any low pressure area or storm that could enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next few days. /cbb
