BACOLOD CITY — Twenty-four people were reported injured by pyrotechnic firecracker and devices as Negros Occidental and Bacolod City ushered in the New Year.
The Bacolod police recorded 8 cases, its spokesperson Chief Inspector Ariel Pico said.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office reported 16 persons injured during the New Year and 8 injuries during the Christmas festivities.
There were no cases of indiscriminate firing or stray bullets reported as of Tuesday morning. /ee
