MANILA, Philippines — A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said in its initial earthquake bulletin that the temblor hit 244 kilometers (km) southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental, at 7:09 a.m.
The quake of tectonic origin had a depth of 41 km.
Phivolcs said no aftershock or damage could be expected from the earthquake. /cbb
