LOOK: Rescuers brave flooding for stranded persons in Bicol

MANILA, Philippines — At least 4,176 persons were still stranded in the Bicol Region on Monday as the floods have not subsided in some areas, data from the police showed.

A total of 779 personnel have been deployed for search and rescue operations in the region while another 1,536 personnel were on standby.

Meanwhile, 436 evacuation centers have been designated for over 6,000 evacuees, police said. /ee
