4 drug pushers fall in Lucena bust
LUCENA CITY, Philippines -– Police arrested four suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation here early Monday, Dec. 31.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed Gilvert Cabrante, 25; Normeo Natividad, 36; Monalie Dael, 30; and Jayson Abadilla, 37, after the group sold shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) Gulang-Gulang at around 3 a.m., Supt. Norman Ranon, head of Quezon police drug enforcement unit, said in a report.
The suspects yielded 14 plastic sachets of shabu weighing a total of 73.97 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P136,884 and a car.
Police said the confiscated shabu was worth P332,865 in the street at the prevailing price of P4,500 per gram.
The suspects according to police are known big-time drug pushers in the city and nearby towns. /muf
