LPA, tail-end of cold front to bring clouds, rain on Rizal Day
MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) that was Tropical Depression “Usman” and the tail-end of a cold front will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers over parts of the country on Sunday.
At 3 a.m., the LPA was 240 kilometers northwest of Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Metro Manila, The Bicol Region, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley Region, and Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains caused by the northeast monsoon.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
Pagasa continued to warn the public of possible floods and landslides due to expected rain. /cbb
