Boat capsizes off Victoria, Northern Samar; family of 3 killed
TACLOBAN CITY — A motorized banca capsized off Victoria town, Northern Samar on Thursday, killing a family of three.
The fatalities were identifed as Luis Salon, 52; his wife, Leonora, 45; and their son, Luigy, 7.
Lt. Col. Apollo Herrera of the 43rd Infantry Batallion said they still have to gather more details, but the family was from Barangay Buenaserte, Victoria.

Luis was also identified as a village councilor of Buenaserte, Herrera said.
In the meantime, the body of Elves Mindanao, 26, of Barangay Osmena, Lope de Vega town, also in Northern Samar was found after he drowned on Friday. /ee
