LTFRB urges bus operators to suspend RoRo trips due to ‘Usman’

MANILA, Philippines – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) strongly advised bus operators to suspend all roll-on, roll-off (RoRo) bus trips due to inclement weather brought by Tropical Depression “Usman.”

In an advisory on Thursday, the LTFRB told bus operators to attend to the needs of their passengers especially those stranded in ports.

The agency also advised passengers to not travel if weather conditions were still bad.

As of 4 a.m. Friday, the Philippine Coast Guard reported 15,788 passengers stranded in various ports in the country. /cbb
