Magnitude 4 quake hits Davao Occidental

A magnitude 4.0 earthquake jolted Davao Occidental on Thursday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the quake hit 77 kilometers east of Sarangani at 10:31 a.m.

The temblor of tectonic origin had a depth of 44 kilometers.

There were no reported intensities caused by the earthquake.

No aftershocks or damage could be expected from the temblor, Phivolcs said. /ee
