MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck Cagayan on Wednesday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
In its initial report, Phivolcs said the earthquake was located 23 kilometers (km) west of Calayan, Cagayan at 9:17 p.m.
The earthquake of tectonic origin, had a depth of 17 km.
According to Phivolcs, no aftershocks and damage could be expected from the earthquake. /atm
