Pangasinan man killed in shootout after being served warrant over illegal guns

DAGUPAN CITY – A 28-year-old man died during an alleged shootout with policemen, who were serving him a search warrant for illegal guns at his house in the Pangasinan town of San Fabian on Wednesday (Dec. 26).

Christian Narag Bandarlipe fired at the police officers as they approached his house in Barangay (village) Longos Amngonan Parac-Parac at 3:30 a.m., police said.

The police report did not say why they were serving the warrant before dawn after Christmas Day.

Bandarlipe was declared dead on arrival from multiple bullet wounds at the Region I Medical Center.
