Duterte spends ‘noche buena’ with family in Davao
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte spent “noche buena” with his family in Davao City on Christmas eve.
A photo shared by presidential son and former vice mayor Paolo Duterte showed the President seated by the table with his ex-wife Elizabeth Zimmerman, eldest daughter Davao City Mayor Sara and youngest son Sebastian.
The President’s grandchildren also joined the celebration.
Even before becoming a President, Mr. Duterte always celebrated the holidays with his family in Davao City and by visiting young cancer patients in his hometown, a tradition he has observed since he was mayor.
In his Christmas message, Duterte urged Filipinos to nurture the values of compassion, kindness, and reconciliation. /kga
