No one wins P336M Grand Lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines—No winner got the winning six-number combination 06-13-23-32-44-49 in the Monday night’s draw of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s 6/55 Grand Lotto.

The P336,127,453.20 jackpot prize will become even bigger for the next draw on Wednesday.

Twenty seven bettors, however, got the consolation prize of P150,000 each for missing one of the winning numbers.

Even after 43 draws, the appeal to bettors is on the rise after the jackpot prize breached the P300-million mark last week.

The highest prize on record that reached P741 million was won on Nov. 29, 2010, by a New York-based Filipino on a visit to the country. The lucky bettor bought the winning ticket while on vacation in Olongapo City.

The next-biggest lotto jackpot was P347 million for the Super Lotto 6/49 draw on Feb. 22, 2009, where two winners split the prize, while the third-biggest pot money worth P249 million in the Super Lotto draw was won by a 61-year-old laborer from Quezon City in August 2009.

Every bet has one chance out of 29 million possible combinations to win in the 6/55 Grand Lotto. Draws are set every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
