LOOK: PNP top officials give Christmas gifts to kids in Malate

MANILA, Philippines — Top officials of Philippine National Police (PNP) led by its chief, Director General Oscar Albayalde, brought cheers to children of Malate a day before Christmas.

Albayalde, together with his wife and their children, spearheaded a gift-giving event for more than 150 children and their parents at the Paraiso ng mga Bata covered court along Quirino Avenue in Malate, Manila.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Guillermo Eleazar and Manila Police District (MPD) Director Sr. Supt. Vicente Danao Jr. also joined the activity on Monday.

During the event, Albayalde reminded the youth to study well since education will lift them out of poverty. He also persuaded the children to stay away from crimes, especially the use of solvents or other illegal drugs. /kga
