Duterte gives gifts to young cancer patients in Davao City

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday night visited pediatric cancer patients at the Southern Philippines Medical Center’s Cancer Institute Children’s Unit in Davao City.
Malacañang released photos of Duterte giving gifts to the cancer patients and doing his signature fist bump with one of the kids.

Former Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go said Duterte gave the toys, cash and food to the cancer patients.
Even when he was still mayor of Davao City, Duterte regularly visited and distributed gifts to cancer patients in his hometown city.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo earlier said the President would spend Christmas in Davao City with his family.
