MANILA, Philippines — A potential storm is seen to enter the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday, Christmas Day, the state weather bureau said.
The low pressure area (LPA) was last spotted 1,515 kilometers east of Mindanao and is likely to intensify into a tropical cyclone, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said on Monday.
It will be a rainy Christmas eve in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to the northeast monsoon and an LPA inside PAR.

The LPA was last spotted 80 kilometers northwest of Cuyo, Palawan.
Visayas, Davao region and Caraga will also have cloudy skies with scattered rains due to the LPA.
The rest of Mindanao will have fair weather with chances of isolated rains. /je
