A man standing on the aisle of a crowded passenger bus exposed himself to a woman sitting beside him.
His penis was dangling through the unzipped fly of his jeans, but he partially shielded it with a backpack slung from his shoulder so that only the woman could see it.
Thinking perhaps that the sight would shock the woman into silence, he instead got the shock of his life — and a continuous stream of cussing.
“T**g ina mo, ah, bastos ka,” the woman, who had been recording the incident on video, screamed. “Tingnan niyo, kuya o, nakalabas yung titi nito oh.”
[Son of a bitch. What a pervert. Look, everyone, he has his penis out.]
The man was reduced to mumbling, as he quickly zipped up.
“Tingnan niyo oh. Di ba, sinara na niya,” the woman said.
[Look. See, he already zipped it up.]
At last finding his voice, the man mumbled: “Pasensya. Magpa-Pasko pa naman ho.”
[Sorry. It’s almost Christmas.]
More cussing followed, the woman threatening several times to call the police.
“P***ng ina mo ka ha. Ba’t nilalabas mo ang titi mo?”
[You son of a bitch. Why are you showing your penis?]
The video, which runs for 2 minutes and 20 seconds, was posted on social media sites. It was not clear, however, who first posted it.
It was a Twitter post of the video that got the attention of INQUIRER.net editors. It was posted by Ushwa — a National University student named Joshua Paciben II.
He consented to be mentioned in this article, because, after all, the reason he posted the video was for public awareness of such incidents.
Commenting on his own post, Paciben said: “I hope pag tapos mapanood to ng mga babae na nababastos mas naging matapang sila na kailangan nila gumawa ng aksyon kapag sa kanila nangyare to even sa mga lalaki na ayaw nagpa-bastos tapangan niyo lang huwag panghinaan ng loob gumawa kayo ng aksyon.”
[I hope that, after watching this video, women who get molested would be braver and realize that they would have to act. Even guys who don’t want being molested should be braver and not hesitate to do something.]
Following up with another comment, he said: “Salute to ate na gumawa ng paraan para mabisto yung nambabastos sa kanya.”
[I salute her for doing something to expose her molester.]
Further, Paciben said: “The video was not mine. I also saw it on social media then i also post it on twitter so that everyone can be aware.”
He posted the video at 11:24 p.m. on Saturday, December 22.
As of 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, the video has drawn 634,000 views, 8,188 retweets, and 31,287 likes.
