New LPA to bring rains
MANILA, Philippines — A new low pressure area has been spotted in the eastern part of Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Friday.
The LPA was last located 900 kilometers of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. The other LPA affecting Visayas and Mindanao early this week has dissipated, the Philippine Atmopsheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
While unlikely to intensify into a tropical cyclone, the trough of the LPA will affect the southern part of Luzon, the entire Visayas and the eastern part of Mindanao.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have fair weather with chances of light rains.
