‘Elvis Presley,’ cohort caught selling marijuana in Pasig

MANILA, Philippines — Two male drug suspects, including one who goes by the alias “Elvis Presley,” were caught selling marijuana in Pasig City on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Eastern Police District (EPD), Geraldo Lazaro and Elvin Peña, who uses the alias of the late King of Rock, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Mamerto Compound, Barangay Rosario, Pasig.

Five sachets of a still undetermined amount of marijuana were recovered from the suspects, including the P200 in marked bills used for the transaction.

Lazaro and Peña, both detained at the Pasig City Police Station, will face charges for possessing and selling dangerous drugs in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, or Republic Act No. 9165. /atm
