Man hit and killed by PNR train in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — A man died on Wednesday morning after being struck by a Philippine National Railways (PNR) train in Manila.

According to the incident report released by the PNR, the fatality was identified as Remy Orlino, a native of Zambales.

The victim was further identified as an employee of D.M. CONSUNJI, INC. (DMCI).

A PNR report was backed up by a report from the Manila Police District (MPD).

Witness Teodo Domitibo said  he saw Orlino cross the railway and was hit by PNR train no. 8 with engine no. 922 hit him.

Orlino, 55, “suddenly crossed the railroad tracks” that led to incident, the report noted.

His body was later transferred to the Mesina Funeral Home in Pandacan. /ee
