Two Subic councilors survive ambush

SUBIC, Zambales — Two of this town’s councilors were hurt in an ambush in San Narciso town on Monday night.

Councilors Roberto Delgado and Elizalde Rocafor were reportedly onboard a sports utility vehicle when they were attacked by unidentified men in Barangay Seminublan around 6 p.m.

The victims sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were taken to the San Marcelino District Hospital for treatment.

Delgado is in critical condition while Rocafor has been stabilized by doctors, police said.

Investigators have yet to determine the motive behind the attack. /ee
