Man gunned down outside sports arena in Camarines Sur

PILI, Camarines Sur — A man was shot and killed outside of a sports arena in Pamplona town in Camarines Sur province early Monday, police said.

According to the police, it was around 3 a.m. when the victim Carmelo Tuyo, 44, was shot by an unidentified gunman onboard a motorcycle while he was walking outside Pamplona’s sports arena in Barangay (village) Tambo. The suspect immediately fled after the shooting.

The victim was brought to Bicol Medical Center in Naga City but later died while undergoing treatment.

Police authorities are now determining the motive of the shooting. /je
