Duterte proud of his Cabinet
Despite the controversies faced by one of his trusted secretaries, President Rodrigo Duterte is proud of the members of his Cabinet “dominated by nonpoliticians.”
A Malacañang official made this statement amid the allegations being hurled against Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno, who continues to enjoy the President’s trust and confidence.
Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar said the President made his sentiments known during a Christmas party for his Cabinet last week.
“He spoke a bit there about what happened to Secretary Ben Diokno in the House of Representatives,” Andanar said in a radio interview.
The President told members of his Cabinet that he was satisfied with their work, and reminded them not to get involved in corruption.
“He explained to us and reminded us that he is proud of this present Cabinet, which is dominated by nonpoliticians,” Andanar said.
