WATCH: NCRPO checks churches on first day of Simbang Gabi

MANILA, Philippines — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) inspected churches in Metro Manila on Sunday, the first day of the Aguinaldo Masses or Simbang Gabi.

According to NCRPO chief Director Guillermo Eleazar, who personally supervised the inspections, the masses went on smoothly, as there were no reports of any violence or crime near the churches.

“There is no reported untoward incident related to the first Simbang Gabi of Ligtas Paskuhan 2018,” Eleazar said in a message to reporters.

The NCRPO team visited churches in Manila, including the Quiapo Church in Sta. Cruz, San Agustin Church in Binondo, and Manila Cathedral in Intramuros. /cbb
