MANILA, Philippines — One person was killed in a crash that involved two vehicles in Parañaque City, the Southern Police District (SPD) reported on Saturday.
An incident report from the SPD showed that at about 8:30 p.m. of Friday, a passenger jeepney (UYD 282) and a Suzuki motorcycle (1608-NI) collided along Quirino Avenue, in front of a gasoline station in Barangay Tambo, Paranaque City.
One pedestrian, identified as Jerry Rosimo, was also reported hurt in the collision.
Police said Rosimo and Jay-ar Celeridad, the rider of the motorcycle, were immediately rushed to Ospital ng Parañaque for medical treatment.
However, Celeridad was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician, police said.
Meanwhile, the driver of the jeepney, Rosendo Roxas, is now under custody of Paranaque police as charges are being readied against him. /muf
